The Experiencer Group is a private member site dedicated to support, curiosity and community for people who’ve had anomalous events of any and all kinds. The co-founders (Jay King, Kirsten Blackburn and Stuart Davis) speak with rotating guests about topics relevant to experiencers and those interested in anomalous culture. We cover out of body, near death, UFOs, spirits, precognition, psi, contact with non-human entities and many other modes, while going deeper toward the wider implications for our reality, especially for those that have encountered these situations.

All of the experiencers Ralph Blumenthal spoke with and profiled in his new article for The Debrief, "THE EXPERIENCE: THE CULTURAL RISE OF ALIEN ABDUCTIONS AND THOSE WHO ENCOUNTER THEM", get together for the first time to talk and compare notes.
Stuart Davis, Karin Austin, Jay King, Nadine Lalich & Robin Lassiter
This special episode came about spontaneously and organically, while meeting as a group over Zoom to talk about the process of the article and "coming out" as experiencers of non-human entities. This was recorded only two days after Blumenthal's article was published (on September 24th 2021), an article that had been in the works since at least April. The conversation had many off-record/on-record moments, so this episode is composed of clips from the on-record portions of the dialogue.
In part, they speak about the article's planned publication at the New York Times, its rejection by several editors there, and the immediate aftermath. Two of the participants, Robin Lassiter and Jay King, had never come forward in public as experiencers of non-human entities, and were very much thinking and feeling through the emotional aftermath of the initial reveal and public reaction.
Karin Austin, Nadine Lalich and Stuart Davis spoke at length about their process of coming forward, the challenges they faced, and advice for Jay and Robin. As the conversation progressed, the conversation turned toward how media has handled stories like this in the past, and being inspired to work toward a better way forward for public and private dialogue about anomalous and non-human experiences.

Episode 2: Ralph Blumenthal
Monday Sep 20, 2021
Monday Sep 20, 2021
Co-founders Jay King, Stuart Davis and Kirsten Blackburn join guest Ralph Blumenthal to talk about his incredible series of UFO/UAP-related articles for the NY Times (co-written primarily with Leslie Kean), his career at the Times in general, but especially topics surrounding his new book The Believer: Alien Encounters, Hard Science and the Passion of John Mack.
Ralph had access to Dr John Mack's private archive, providing a privileged and unique perspective into the famed Harvard psychiatrist who, after winning a Pulitzer Prize and rising to prominence as a principal figure at the prestigious Cambridge Hospital, became a pivotal advocate for people who believed they'd had contact with intelligent and advanced non-human entities.
Ralph divulges many amazing pieces of information, including a secret conference on "aliens" organized by the Dalai Lama and his inner circle, how his research into experiencers/abductees actually helped set the stage for his groundbreaking work with Leslie Kean, and a controversial unpublished long-form article on experiencers that the Times has refused to run.

The Experiencer Group co-founders Jay King, Stuart Davis and Kirsten Blackburn join guest Mike Clelland to talk about high strangeness, hypnotherapy, synchronicities, being a young artist in New York, why ufology can be boring, and the challenges of being an anomalous experiencer.
Mike is the author of The Messengers, Stories from the Messengers, Hidden Experience, Self-Rescue (with Mike Fasulo), Glacier Mountaineering (with Andy Tyson), and Ultralight Backpackin' Tips. Yes, that's right, Mike is well-versed in not just experiencer accounts, but also an expert in ultralight camping, hiking and climbing. He's the perfect person to start this new series of unpredictable conversations.
